Assistant Manager – New Store Opening

About the Role
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Assistant Manager to join the leadership team of an exciting new womenswear boutique opening in West London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about retail, thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and is eager to play a key role in shaping a store from the ground up.
The Assistant Manager will support the Store Manager in driving sales performance, nurturing a motivated team, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Operations
* Partner with the Store Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the boutique runs efficiently.
* Take a hands-on approach to leading the team, stepping into full leadership responsibilities when required.
* Support with recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing team training and motivation.
* Contribute to achieving and exceeding sales and performance goals through strong commercial focus.
Customer Experience
* Ensure each customer enjoys a warm, engaging, and personalized service.
* Act as a brand ambassador, maintaining the store’s premium aesthetic and upholding its values in every client interaction.
* Handle customer feedback or challenges with professionalism and care to ensure loyalty and retention.
Commercial & Operational Excellence
* Oversee stock levels, deliveries, and visual merchandising to maintain high operational and presentation standards.
* Analyse store performance metrics and contribute to action plans for improvement.
* Support with scheduling, reporting, and compliance to company policies and procedures.
Team Culture & Collaboration
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative store culture that reflects the brand ethos.
* Act as a mentor and motivator to the team, leading by example in professionalism, enthusiasm, and client care.
* Contribute new ideas to enhance the customer journey and overall business success.
About You
* Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within premium or lifestyle retail.
* A genuine passion for fashion, product, and delivering memorable customer experiences.
* Confident leadership with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Organised, adaptable, and proactive — able to manage multiple priorities and think on your feet.
* A natural people person who thrives in a creative, dynamic environment.
