Job description
We're currently recruiting for a Mobile Security Guard to join our Patrol and Response team. The rate of pay for this position starts at £13.30 per hour, with an enhanced bonus scheme of £1.50 extra for every alarm activation you attend. A typical week will involve 40 hours of work.
You'll play a vital role in securing our clients' properties - primarily in the Taunton, Yeovil and surrounding areas. Main duties involve carrying out patrols, locks and unlocks and responding to alarm activations when necessary. All work is carried out in our company vehicles and full training will be provided by experienced colleagues.
Typically you'll be working 8 hour night shifts Monday to Friday (18:00 to 02:00), but there will be some occassions where 12 hour night shifts will be required. Optional extra hours of work will usually be available most weeks. There will at times be some expectation to assist with holiday and sickness cover.
Key responsibilities
* Staying vigilant whilst responding to alarm activations as and when required.
* Keeping a keen eye for detail whilst carrying out mobile security patrols, locks and unlocks of the various sites we help secure.
* On-foot patrols of various sites.
* Professional communication with other members of the team as well as our clients and members of the public.
Officer requirements:
* Must have current front line SIA licence in Security or Door Supervision.
* Must also have a valid UK driving license as you'll be using our company vehicles.
* Must be capable of driving safely.
* Clear communication, both written and verbal.
* This role primarily involves 8 hour night shifts, so must be comfortable working nights.
* You must be able to show necessary evidence of the right to work in the UK along with verifiable work history for the last 5 years. Failure to pass our vetting process will result in cease of work engagement.
Other Requirements
* Previous experience in mobile security work would be beneficial but not necessary as full training will be provided.
* Knowledge of the local area would be beneficial.
* Some of our work involves using mobile phone apps – full training will be provided.
