Join Our Journey
Our UK-based Events Team is growing, so we’re hiring an experienced Senior Event Manager to join our team. In this role you will lead the development, planning and execution of a variety of event types from concept to completion, with responsibility for two direct reports. The successful candidate will provide creative input and manage all facets of logistically complex events.
This is a hybrid position; you’ll be in the office 3 days a week and homeworking the remainder unless you have events to manage. Flexibility is essential for this role.
What You’ll Do
* Manage the team to deliver a portfolio of corporate/business events for various industries.
* Lead and manage complex events, both physical and hybrid, from brief to delivery, ensuring all aspects meet requirements and deadlines.
* Support event briefings, contributing creatively and utilising past experiences, market trends and research.
* Design, build and present client proposals.
* Budget management and reconciliation.
* Develop and conduct events in line with Health, Safety and Safeguarding guidelines, conducting any necessary risk assessments.
* Work closely with the Event Account Manager to build new client relationships, driving excellent client servicing to support new business and growth.
* Assist in securing both repeat business and new business, and ensuring projects are as profitable as possible.
* Maintain specialist knowledge of the events environment, conducting competitor and trend analysis to develop new ideas and opportunities.
* Ensure we are at the forefront of the latest event ideas and technologies.
* Input into the annual Marketing plan.
* Run event debrief meetings and reporting.
* Support the Director of Events on ad hoc projects as required.
What we’re looking for
* Highly experienced with proven work on large corporate events (500+ attendees).
* Extensive experience in event design, management and execution of a variety of event solutions (conferences, incentive trips, VIP hospitality experiences, employee engagement events, sales and training conferences).
* Proven commercial awareness and budget management experience.
* Exceptional client service skills with strong communication.
* Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities.
* Strong existing relationships with a range of event suppliers.
* Business and commercial awareness.
* Flexible and adaptable style and approach.
* Event Agency experience would be an advantage.
* Existing event clients would be an advantage.
