Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our team as a General Manager at our deli/restaurant called Fig. As a General Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the overall operations of our deli/restaurant. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both customers and team members.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the owner in overseeing daily operations
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Train, mentor, and supervise employees
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering merchandise
- Maintain visual merchandising standards to enhance the overall cafe appearance
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve any issues in a timely manner
- Assist with scheduling and managing employee shifts
- Conduct performance evaluations for team members
- Collaborate with the owner to develop strategies to increase sales and meet targets
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Experience:
- Previous experience in hospitality management and barista is preferred but for the right candidate full training will be provided
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent leadership abilities to motivate and inspire team members
- Proven track record of driving sales and achieving targets
- Ability to sell products and promote up selling opportunities
- Proficient in phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries and resolving issues
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
