Performing Arts Graduate – Cover Supervisor
Location: Wigan
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: Up to £95 per day
Start Date: September

Are you a Performing Arts graduate with strong communication skills and a confident presence? Are you looking to gain valuable classroom experience and inspire young people in a secondary school setting?

We are seeking a Performing Arts graduate to work as a Cover Supervisor in a forward-thinking school in Wigan. This role is ideal for individuals considering a future in teaching, drama education, or youth work, and offers the chance to build practical experience in managing a classroom and supporting student learning.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver pre-set lessons to classes in the absence of the regular teacher

* Manage student behaviour and ensure a focused learning environment

* Encourage engagement and participation from all pupils

* Adapt quickly to different subjects and year groups

* Build positive relationships with students and staff across the school

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* A degree in Performing Arts or a related subject

* Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills

* Confidence in managing groups of young people

* A creative and adaptable approach to working in a school setting

* Experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
