The ESG Data and Reporting Manager will be instrumental in enabling OCU Group to fulfil the sustainability reporting requirements of clients, the business and investors, while actively driving continuous improvement in our overall ESG performance. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for a data and reporting professional with a passion for sustainability who wants to use their skills to deliver positive change. This individual will play a vital role in advancing OCU Group’s commitment to ‘playing our part for a sustainable future’ based in Borehamwood or Stockport.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage effective and efficient collation, analysis and reporting of ESG data in line with client, investor and board requirement.
* Develop and implement governance processes to guarantee transparency and robustness of ESG data.
* Manage the development of ESG and other sustainability reporting from Board to contract level providing relevant and meaningful information appropriate to the audience to drive change.
* Manage quarterly and annual ESG submissions to our investors ensuring timely and accurate data is reported.
* Manage the annual EcoVadis submission delivering year on year improvements, working with the Group Sustainability Director and Taskforce to ensure opportunities are maximised and a high-quality response is given.
* Manage the development of internal quarterly ESG reports ensuring alignment with external rating programmes such as EcoVadis.
* Manage the implementation of Sustain IQ and other relevant ESG data collation tools providing clear implementation programmes, robust procedures and effective coaching and training of users.
* Collaborate with Data, SHESQ, IT, HR, Procurement and Operational teams to identify and develop reporting requirements, Power BI Dashboards and potential data sources.
* Work with the procurement and commercial teams to ensure data from the supply chain is captured efficiently and effectively.
* Working with the ESG Data Analyst manage the annual third-party assurance of Scope 1,2, & 3 carbon emissions as part of our annual financial reporting.
* Manage OCUs annual CDP submission ensuring year on year annual improvements to increase our overall rating.
* Work with the quality and assurance functions to develop independent auditing of ESG data and reporting processes.
* Evaluate other ESG ratings such as BCorp and UN Global Compact providing clear cost / benefit analysis. identifying risks and opportunities of pursuing such schemes.
* Manage the production of data-driven insights and recommendations to improve sustainability performance in relation to key initiatives such decarbonisation.
* Work with the ESG Data Analyst to provide periodic client reports in a timely and accurate manner.
* Work with the ESG Data Analyst to manage and deliver ad hoc data requests to support bids, award submissions, external presentations and client demands ensuring data quality and accuracy and formal sign off on behalf of the Group Sustainability Director (as necessary).
* Work with the Group Sustainability Director to identify and source ESG data for the annual financial reporting.
* Work with our overseas operations to ensure accurate and timely reporting in line with OCU Group reporting requirements
* Work with the Group Sustainability Director to evaluate UK and other global sustainability reporting standards ensuring processes are in place comply.
* Manage aligned ESG Data Analysts in day-to-day delivery, performance management and development.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Previous experience in managing ESG data and reporting in a large global organisation, preferably in a similar sector
* Previous experience in managing and delivering improvements in ESG rating such as CDP and EcoVadis
* Relevant degree or other qualifications in sustainability or data management
* Strong track record of developing robust governance processes for collation and reporting of ESG data
* Excellent communication skills with a practical, hand-on, ‘can do’ approacH
* Strong understanding and practical experience of corporate carbon reporting and alignment the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and ISO14064
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to turn complex data into understandable KPIs to deliver change
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to develop solutions based on data insights.
* Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across different teams and departments to achieve sustainability goals.
