The Apprentice Engineer Role
We offer apprenticeships across the UK in various levels and disciplines, providing structured development that serves as the perfect launch pad for your career. During your apprenticeship with us, you will receive:

The Apprenticeship Standard
This is a Level 6 apprenticeship, meaning that upon completion, you will have both 5 years of experience and a Beng (Hons) degree. Our chosen program is delivered by London South Bank University, providing you with a robust educational foundation.
Your Profile
At Sir Robert McAlpine, we typically look for candidates who:
* Have a passion for problem-solving
* Are interested in construction, engineering, and the latest technology
* Possess relevant work experience (desirable)
Apprenticeship Course Entry Requirements:
* BTEC:
o BTEC Diploma grade D*D*, with an A grade in A level Mathematics or passing an appropriate assessment in mathematics.
o BTEC Extended Diploma grade DDD, including the two Mathematics units: 'Calculus to Solve Engineering Problems' and 'Further Engineering Mathematics'.
* A Level: AAA grades at A level, including Mathematics and a Physical Science. Applicants with a strong profile but without A level Mathematics will need to pass an appropriate assessment.
* Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A-C, including Maths and English or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above).
