Job Title: Chief Cardiac Physiologist / Cardiac Physiologist
Location: Penicuik, Scotland
Hours: 32 hrs a week – typically Monday‑Thursday with once a month Friday/Saturday shift.
We are looking for a Chief Cardiac Physiologist or Cardiac Physiologist to join our echo team on a part‑time permanent basis. As a Cardiac Physiologist with InHealth, you will be proficient with BSE reporting guidelines, provide a safe and welcoming clinical environment for patients, mentor trainee physiologists and be involved in our clinical audit programme.
Main duties of the job
* Perform and report adult trans‑thoracic echocardiograms in line with BSE minimum data set and local reporting guidelines.
* Provide expert clinical guidance via second opinion rota, ensuring reporting guidelines are adhered to during clinical peer‑review.
* Ensure quality assurance checks on equipment and act as appropriate.
* Submit reports and archive study images in accordance with contractual requirements and local SOPs.
* Liaise with relevant hospital departments and GP practices for urgent clinical referrals.
* Support patient bookings and maintain patient information systems.

As a Cardiac Physiologist with InHealth, you will be proficient with BSE reporting guidelines, provide a safe and welcoming clinical environment for patients, mentor trainee physiologists and be involved in our clinical audit programme.
About you
* Experience of performing and reporting adult transthoracic echocardiograms to BSE standards.
* Hold BSE (or equivalent).
* A full UK driving licence.
* A full understanding of the implications of the Data Protection Act, Information Governance Statement of Compliance and Caldicott Principles.
* A willingness to embrace new thinking and new technologies.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
