Looking for Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioners to work as members of the Emergency Medicine team at Northwick Park and Ealing Hospitals.
The post holder will develop skills in recognising, negotiating, and delivering care to patients from an undifferentiated cohort. These competencies will evolve alongside MSc level theoretical studies.
This is a fixed-term contract for the first two years of the MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice, with a possible extension of up to one year. The post-holder must pass all assessments and be signed off as a qualified practitioner.
Once qualified as an ACP, with mutual agreement between supervisor and trainee, and where staffing allows, the trainee may have the opportunity to apply for a permanent ACP role within the Emergency Medicine team.

The main duties include:
1. Providing patient-centred care by assessing patients with pathway-specific presentations, taking histories, examining, and listing differential diagnoses to initiate investigations, treatments, advice, and management using autonomous decision-making. The post holder will liaise with other healthcare professionals and service providers to ensure safe ongoing care.
2. Contributing to the development and delivery of high-quality, innovative services through evidence-based practice, supported by professional development. With more experience, the post holder may support and mentor new staff, students, and other healthcare professionals.
