Kitchen Assistant Position (Maternity Leave Cover)

We are excited to announce a temporary opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to cover a team member on maternity leave. Below are the details:
* Contract Duration: One year
* Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
* School Term Time
Duties: Assisting the Head Chef with kitchen-related tasks such as vegetable peeling and cutting, preparing salads and desserts, displaying food items, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and supporting day-to-day kitchen operations.

Job Responsibilities
* Assist Head Chef & Chefs with food preparation and production for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and buffet services, ensuring standards are met.
* Ensure food delivery meets specified requirements and standards.
* Assist with receipt and storage of goods, adhering to control systems and standards.
* Maintain food hygiene, health, and safety standards, following legal and company policies.
* Support equipment and machinery maintenance.
* Communicate professionally with colleagues.
* Participate in staff forums and collaborate across departments.
* Support operational needs as required.
Development and Environmental Responsibility
* Follow policies for continuous improvement in food production and service.
* Act in an environmentally sustainable manner, promoting sustainability.
