The role
You are a dedicated and experienced social worker who thrives in a challenging and fast-paced environment. You have a strong commitment to supporting adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, or severe and enduring mental health needs, and you are capable of handling complex caseloads effectively. As a Social Worker in the Working Age Social Work Team, you will manage a diverse caseload across various client groups. Your responsibilities will include conducting safeguarding investigations, assessments under the Care Act, care planning, and reviewing client cases. You will also engage in significant legal work, collaborating closely with the Council's Legal Team. The role requires the formal responsibilities of managing the statutory provisions under the Mental Health Act 1983, participating in the Council's AMHP rota, and potentially serving as a Best Interests Assessor and/or an Approved Mental Health Professional. - Strong caseload management - Safeguarding investigation proficiency - Care planning and reviewing - Knowledge of statutory provisions and the Mental Health Act - Legal collaboration and understanding - Best Interests Assessor and/or AMHP expertise
