Coordinates with Theatre Director and Music Director to choreograph and teach student performers for the winter term musical production. Stipend varies according to choreographic needs of the production; approximately 5-6 hrs of work per musical theatre number choreographed, to be arranged with the Theatre Director. This position is non-district funded and contingent on fundraised dollars.
Qualifications: knowledge of various dance styles, appropriate warmup practices, and musical theatre choreography and staging approaches; ability to adjust/modify choreography for various levels of dance experience and physical ability of performers; ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues working in a collaborative creative capacity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Assisting/supporting the student costume designer/team for the fall play and spring musical (after-school hours, flexible)
2. Supervise green room during performances.
3. Basic sewing and mending skills for costume construction, alterations, and repair.
4. Laundering costumes (onsite).
5. Keeping the green room & costume storage organized.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
