The Role
As a Sales Assistant, you’ll support your store team in driving sales performance and daily operations. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service to optimise KPI performance.
Key Responsibilities
At Majestic Wine, customers are at the heart of everything we do. You’ll be an ambassador for your store, supporting the team to deliver an outstanding shopping experience.
We are looking for people who:
* Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting targets through KPI focus
* Deliver exceptional customer service to promote business growth through loyalty and repeat purchases
* Offer a VIP concierge service, actively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings
* Share your passion for products with customers through in-depth knowledge of our range
* Take ownership of your wine knowledge, supporting your WSET qualification and confidence in selling
* Maintain the store’s appearance and operational tasks, including stock deliveries and customer outreach
* Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement solutions with your team
* Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety, and legal requirements
* Support junior team members and operate as a key holder with store opening/closing responsibilities
Knowledge & Skills Required
* Excellent time-management, delegation, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience
* Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team
* Positive attitude and problem-solving mindset
* Adaptability and resilience
* Effective communication skills
* Wine knowledge is beneficial; passion to learn more is essential for passing level 2 WSET
* Full UK/EU/EEA driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points
