Salary: FC5 £28,175.91 - £30,691.29 plus enhancements
Working Pattern: 36 Hours per week, Sunday to Thursday
Location: Glenrothes and working throughout the Fife area

Job Details

Based at Glenrothes and working throughout Fife.

* You will report to the Project Officer for Unpaid Work in the Community and will directly supervise up to five individuals who have been made subject to a Community Payback Order, providing them with supervision, direction, and support to carry out the work‑related tasks that are asked of the service from local communities. Such tasks can include painting and decorating, litter picking/community clear‑ups, garden maintenance, and other activities that can support community initiatives.
* You will be responsible for vehicles and equipment that will support the delivery of these projects and will be provided with risk assessments and procedures to support you in undertaking your role.
* You should possess strong interpersonal and motivational skills and be able to work confidently and effectively with people from different backgrounds, some of whom may present with challenging personal situations requiring patience and support.

The Person

We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic person with a forward‑looking approach who can work as part of a team. The successful person will have either a craft or trades background, but this is not essential. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to complete projects within specified timescales and have experience of DIY/soft/hard landscaping, painting, and woodworking tasks. Additionally, knowledge and understanding of the issues that individuals face when in the Justice system would be advantageous, but more importantly, is your approach to achieving positive change with the individuals you are supporting.

* Health and Safety
* Basic IT skills
* Good inter‑personal skills
* An understanding of trauma‑informed practice


Prior to Appointment

Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.
