The Audit Manager Opportunity in Nottingham
As an Audit Manager, you'll lead your own portfolio of audit clients, working closely with Partners and Responsible Individuals to deliver exceptional client service. You'll have the autonomy to manage and develop client relationships, while helping shape the growth of the Nottingham audit team.
This is a fantastic step for an experienced Manager or Assistant Manager seeking more responsibility, greater influence, and a clear pathway to Senior Manager and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a diverse portfolio of audit clients, reporting directly to the RI.
Oversee planning, fieldwork, and completion of complex audit assignments.
Build and strengthen client relationships, becoming their trusted advisor.
Lead, mentor, and develop a motivated team, fostering a culture of excellence.
Review files, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
Identify opportunities for service enhancement and business development.
Manage portfolio performance, including WIP, billing, and profitability.
Stay up to date on technical and regulatory developments, sharing knowledge with the wider team.
About You
Professionally qualified (ACA / ACCA) or equivalent.
Strong background managing audit assignments in a UK accountancy practice.
Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple client relationships.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong technical understanding of UK GAAP and auditing standards.
Commercially focused with a growth mindset and an interest in contributing to the firm's expansion.
Experience using cloud-based systems (ideally Xero), with knowledge of CCH, Sage, or QuickBooks advantageous.
