Job Overview
At SureCare Stockport we are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, with experience in various settings such as domiciliary care and care homes, and assisted living facilities. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering personalised care tailored to their specific needs.
As well as delivering hands on care, you will be expected to do some admin work in the office such as networking, generating invoices, leaflet dropping and creating relationships with other businesses.
Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
* Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health
* Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements
* Maintain accurate care plans and documentation of client progress
* Support clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary
* Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with Alzheimer's or dementia
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
* Assist with hospice care when required
* Catheter care
* Taking clients out in the community
Experience
* Previous experience in caregiving, particularly in senior care settings such as domiciliary care within the UK or assisted living facilities is highly desirable
* Familiarity with medical terminology and case management practices
* Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond effectively in emergencies
* Experience with home care services and understanding of individualised care plans
* Skills in meal preparation catering to specific dietary needs
