A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
* To ensure accurate collation of paperwork, including manifests and delivery notes
* To maintain files and records so they remain updated and easily accessible.
* To regular use of e-mail and phone to communicate with vendors, customers and colleagues to solve issues and reply when necessary
* Re-booking of orders or loads which have missed their booking.
* To perform various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the transportation department.
* To communicate any issues, verbal and written to the Coordinator, notifying them of any issues which may require further follow up.
* Prepare and maintain various reports including transportation metrics, performance indicators and compliance documentation
* Facilitate communication and coordination between transport planners, subcontractors, transport depots and other relevant stakeholders
* Responsible for achieving and maintaining KPI SLA agreements.
* Achieving collection and delivery KPIs.
* Ensuring a handover is completed if another person is following you in your department
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
* Transport logistics experience would be desirable
* Strong numerical skills
* Customer relationship/service experience
* Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office applications
