Job Description
We’re looking for an Employee Relations Manager for our public sector client based in Kingston upon Thames on an initial 3-month contract paying up to £355 per day Inside IR35.
This role involves hybrid working with a requirement to attend the office 2–3 days per week. Onsite presence is essential to support formal HR processes and hearings.
You’ll be joining a collaborative HR and OD team, providing expert guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters. You’ll advise on complex cases, help shape fair outcomes, and contribute to the development of people-focused policies and best practice approaches.
The successful Employee Relations Manager will demonstrate:
* Strong experience managing complex ER casework in the public sector
* Knowledge of TUPE, restructuring, and organisational change
* Confidence in coaching managers through sensitive situations
* Clear understanding of employment law and policy development
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build stakeholder trust
* A proactive approach to fostering positive workplace culture
