Job Description
What does the Functional Assessor role involve?
* The Functional Assessor role involves carrying out up to 5 client assessments per day.
* Assessments may be conducted by telephone, video or face-to-face to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects their daily life.
* You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine eligibility for benefits.
* The final decision rests with the DWP; your role is to gather information and produce the report.
What is on offer?
* Excellent starting salary at £43,450pa
* Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm working hours
* Full time and part time available (3, 4 or 5 days per week)
* Wood Green based when working on-site
* 25 days annual leave + 8 days bank holidays + ability to buy or sell 5 more days
* NMC or HCPC fees paid and CPD revalidation support provided
What we look for
* An NMC registered nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) or HCPC qualified Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist with 1 year’s or more broad post-registration experience
* Proactive and keen to learn
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Competent IT and computer skills
* Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health
