About you
* Demonstrable experience in senior financial management and governance within a complex organisation
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
* Sound knowledge of corporate governance, public sector finance, and audit processes
* Excellent strategic planning and policy development capabilities
* Exceptional communication and relationship‑building skills
* Relevant professional qualification such as CCAB, CA, or equivalent
What you’ll do
* Provide high‑level leadership over finance and governance functions, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and objectives
* Oversee budget management of over £20m, maintaining compliance with policies and funding requirements
* Lead implementation of governance frameworks, risk management, and financial controls to ensure organisational integrity
* Direct internal and external audit processes, ensuring recommendations are effectively implemented
* Support senior management and the Board through insightful advice, reports, and strategic input
* Drive continuous improvement in processes, policies, and systems to enhance efficiency and accountability
