Job Description Summary
NDT Level 3 technical responsibility for Dowty Propellers' range of composite and metallic products. Ensure the structural integrity and quality of the product while training a team in various NDT techniques including:
* Ultrasonic Testing (UT) - Contact and immersion methods: A, B, and C scan
* Radiographic Testing (RT) – X-ray, Digital
* Eddy current Testing (ET) - Static and dynamic phase analysis methods
* Magnetic Particle Inspection (MT) – Fluorescent wet continuous method (used in R&O)
* Liquid Penetrant Inspection (PT) - Fluorescent post emulsified, solvent removable
* Bond Testing (BT)
* Acid Etch Inspection
Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring product quality and training in NDT techniques, establishing and approving NDT methods, managing qualification and training of technicians, working with design teams, and supporting daily operations and defect analysis.
Qualifications
Qualified NDT Level 3 in Ultrasonic Testing and Radiographic Testing. A degree in Engineering or recognized apprenticeship with relevant experience. Candidates should have Level 2 qualifications in NDT techniques and aim for Level 3 certification.
