DT Art and Design Teacher Job Type: Full-time Salary: Competitive rates of pay in line with Teacher Pay Scale We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled DT Art and Design Teacher to join a secondary school in Lancaster on a long-term basis. This role is ideal for a candidate who is immediately available and eager to contribute to the educational journey of students by delivering high-quality Art and Design lessons. Deliver engaging and educational Art and Design lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels, with potential involvement at KS5. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to encourage academic growth. Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the curriculum and share best teaching practices. Participate in school events and activities related to the Art and Design department. Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Recent and relevant experience teaching Art and Design at KS3 and KS4; Demonstrated ability to be an excellent classroom practitioner with effective classroom management skills. Exhibits qualities of a good role model such as compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
