University of Nottingham, School of Veterinary Medicine and Science wishes to expand its veterinary pathology team with the appointment of a veterinary clinical pathologist. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development of future veterinary surgeons and veterinary clinical pathologists by sharing your knowledge and experience to ensure competence and inspire life-long learning in veterinary clinical pathology.
Based at the Sutton Bonington Campus, you will contribute to the development and delivery of year-5 clinical rotation teaching as well as to the delivery and assessment of relevant subject teaching in the first 4 years of the course. You will also assist in the further development of the School’s programme of postgraduate training in clinical pathology.
Requirements
* Veterinary degree registrable with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
* Completed a postgraduate training programme in veterinary clinical pathology or equivalent experience
* Several years working in academic or commercial diagnostic service environments
Context
The School operates a distributed clinical teaching model and does not operate its own dedicated clinical pathology service laboratory. Several clinical associate practices have onsite labs to support and guide. Collaboration with the diagnostic anatomic pathology service is encouraged and provides opportunities for investigations into cytology-histopathology corelates. The School has a diverse range of research activities and facilities to support an enquiring mind; collaboration with research teams is encouraged.
Contract & Hours
This role is available on a permanent contract. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours). Applications from candidates seeking part-time work may be considered; job share arrangements may be possible.
