The Role
Registered Nurse who manages and delivers care to a defined caseload of clients and patients. Using the nursing process framework and case management, you will maintain a high standard of quality care in partnership with other disciplines and agencies. You will also have delegated responsibility for the appraisal, management, and clinical supervision of junior nurses, practitioners and support workers within the service. This is a fixed‑term, 12‑month position (potentially a secondment for NHS Lanarkshire staff who have line‑manager approval).
In This Key Role, You Will
* Use the nursing process framework to develop, implement, and evaluate Care Plans in collaboration with clients/patients and the multidisciplinary team, while supervising any delegated nursing activities.
* Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless transitions of care to/from other services and during discharge from services.
* Act as deputy to the team leader or senior charge nurse and ensure effective service operation in their absence.
* Take delegated responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the clinical team, specific groups and treatments, as defined by the team leader or senior charge nurse or practitioner.
* Participate in meetings and forums with team members, providing feedback and relevant information.
What You’ll Bring
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
* E‑diploma or higher and ongoing degree study or completion of a degree programme.
* Post‑graduate expertise within your specialty or area of practice, demonstrating breadth of knowledge required to lead safely and efficiently.
* Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within your specialty or area of practice.
* Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence.
