Associate Director– Business Development, Mid‑Markets
Location: Bristol, Southampton, Watford or Essex. Hours: Full time. Salary: Competitive package available. Working pattern: Hybrid (at least two days per week at one of our office sites or meeting clients).
Job Summary
We support flexible working and offer hybrid options. This newly created role focuses on Asset Finance dealing with prospects in Mid‑Markets (£25m – £500m turnover). It requires a strong marketplace profile to identify and deliver high‑quality new business opportunities and a collaborative working style to deliver a range of Asset Finance products for new clients.
What you’ll be doing
* Establishing new relationships for the Asset Finance business.
* Identifying, targeting and prioritising new prospects using our business research and prospecting tools.
* Making first contact with new clients, utilising the Lloyds brand, to arrange meetings and explaining the value Lloyds can bring to clients.
* Building relationships with clients to generate trust and develop clients’ interest in working with Lloyds.
* Working with the client and existing relationship teams to agree credit lines with the new clients.
* Providing full and comprehensive handover to your relationship colleagues and remaining available for ongoing support if required.
What we’re looking for
* A proven track record in business development using mostly direct means of establishing contact with clients.
* A proven track record in Asset Finance, able to demonstrate and utilise expert product knowledge to maximise delivery across all channels.
* Experience working with mid or large‑sized corporate clients within the financial services industry with accountability for the structuring of financial solutions and negotiation of all deals.
* A proficiency in the credit and underwriting process and a fluency in all manner of financial documents – able to analyse, draw insights and make financial services recommendations.
* Demonstrated connections in local professional networks for business development opportunities.
* Maintain strong relationships with the coverage colleagues and key business introducers (external/internal stakeholders) to ensure effective delivery.
