We’re looking for a Specialist End User Analyst to work closely with ICT colleagues and services across the council, providing secure, modern and reliable end user technology services that support Warwickshire County Council’s objectives.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, taking ownership of technical platforms, and working collaboratively to deliver high‑quality end user solutions within defined standards and governance.
About the role
1. Take ownership of specialist end user platforms, including Microsoft SCCM and Endpoint Manager (Intune)
2. Configure, maintain and continually improve device management, application deployment and security configuration
3. Independently interpret and analyse complex ICT issues, recommending and delivering effective technical solutions
4. Support the deployment and lifecycle management of Windows and mobile devices, including build updates and testing
5. Manage application packaging, deployment monitoring and white glove processes
6. Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on end user technologies
7. Contribute to the development and maintenance of ICT policies, procedures and technical documentation
8. Work collaboratively with ICT teams and business stakeholders to meet service delivery outcomes
9. Proactively identify opportunities to improve services through new or emerging technologies
10. Contribute to knowledge sharing, mentoring and continuous service improvement
Key Requirements
11. Either hold a full relevant professional qualification or have significant experience in an ICT environment at a senior level.
12. The ability to demonstrate a high degree of complex problem-solving skills
13. The ability to communicate complicated and contentious information with varied audiences in person and/or writing
14. The ability to work within broad practice or guidelines using managerial discretion over a broad area of activity
15. The ability to work under a high degree of pressure, including meeting unpredictable deadlines and dealing with conflicting demands
16. Experience of supervising and managing a small team
17. Experience of monitoring and managing project budgets
18. Experience of contributing to the development of ICT Policies and Procedures
19. Excellent IT skills
20. The ability to pull together plans/develop solutions through the introduction of new/original thinking
21. The ability to persuade others to adopt a course of action which is not necessarily their preferred approach
22. Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion principles
23. The right to work in the UK
