Role and Responsibilities
As the Facilities & Technology Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our international language campus. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Providing support for maintenance and cleaning issues, including coordination with cleaners and contractors.
2. Taking pride in the appearance of the school and campus, ensuring buildings are customer-friendly and fit for purpose.
3. Prioritizing health and safety, meeting accrediting body criteria, and conducting routine building checks.
4. Interacting with maintenance contractors and performing decorating and paintwork as required.
5. Ensuring classrooms and common areas are appropriately furnished and well-maintained.
6. Supporting the team on maintenance issues, promptly addressing repairs, and monitoring school courtyard and social areas.
7. Handling student inquiries and requests as required.
8. Troubleshooting routine software and hardware problems for staff and students.
9. Ensuring excellent IT provision throughout the school and residence, collaborating with the Global IT department when necessary.
10. Assisting in ensuring timely payments to all EF’s suppliers related to the building.
11. Perform 24-hour rota emergency duties and available to attend site for out of hours emergencies as required.
Requirements
12. Highly motivated,proactiveand positive, creative & energetic with lots of common sense as key.
13. Ability to work independently with strongdecision makingskills.
14. Confident with general maintenance and IT issues with ahands-onapproach.
15. Basic skills in plumbing, decorating, garden & grounds maintenance, furniture assembly, general building work & DIY desired.
16. Enjoys working in busy & varied environment.
17. Organised with attention to detail.
18. Customer service minded and quality oriented.
19. Excellentcommunication & people skills.
20. Flexible attitude to work and creative problem solver.
21. Have the right to live and work in the UK.
22. Clean DBS check and two references required.
