An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Ward Clerk Swansea Bay University Health Board. This will be based in the Neuro Rehabilitation Unit, Neath Port Talbot Hospital.
The post holder will provide a provision of administrative support for the ward, to work as a member of the team providing an efficient and comprehensive clerical / booking support service thereby, supporting the delivery of high-quality service to patients and staff within the department.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of the team and as part of the larger team to deliver an efficient, reliable, safe and friendly service.
You will welcome patients on arrival and checking and updating patient details.
Relay any patient medical information to professional staff as well as checking patients information on WPAS system and updating as appropriate.
Maintain medical and nursing records, together with all reports, results and for patients and correspondence from other departments, this can include sourcing and tracking case notes from other departments or wards in the hospital.
Prepare documents required in advance for the Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) within the unit in a timely manner.
To attend departmental meetings as appropriate to transcribe minuets of meetings as and when required.

Essential Qualifications & Knowledge Desirable
Essential criteria
1. 5 GCSE or equivalent, Grade C or above
2. Level 2 or equivelant experience
3. RSA II or equivalent demonstrable experience.
4. Proof of appropriate CPD.
Desirable criteria
5. ECDL or equivalent experience and or qualifications.
6. Customer Service qualification L2

7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Ability to work to meet deadlines.
9. Ability to prioritise.
10. Ability to use Microsoft Office e.g. word/excel and virtual platforms e.g. Teams etc
