The business undertakes a wide variety of geotechnical and geo-environmental commissions throughout Scotland, ranging from small-scale housing developments to large infrastructure and commercial schemes. Projects are supported by an in-house testing laboratory and a modern fleet of drilling equipment. Graduate Geotechnical Engineer - The Role This position offers a balanced mix of site-based, laboratory and office duties, giving excellent exposure to the full ground investigation process. Typical responsibilities will include: Supporting the design, preparation and execution of intrusive site investigations. Describing soils, rocks and samples in accordance with current standards. Overseeing drilling activities on site and liaising closely with drilling crews. Collecting, managing and interpreting site data to assist with factual reporting. Contributing to monitoring works, sampling activities and follow-up site visits when required.
