The department
We are a dynamic team of practitioners that deal with the whole life cycle of businesses within our sectors: from assisting founders seeking investment, advising on debt financing, setting up employee share schemes, advising on reorganisations, guiding growth through acquisitions and on to an eventual exit whether by share or asset sale or floatation.

* Corporate Reorganisations
* Banking, security and insolvency
* Alternative finance
* Partnership formation and management
Clients span disruptive tech, fintech, financial services, professional services and digital media sectors. Notable clients include:

* Bloomsbury Publishing
* Walker Books
* Rollins
The opportunity
The ideal candidate will have developed strong technical legal expertise while being able to demonstrate a commercial and pragmatic approach to client needs. The workload would involve predominantly mid to high value M&A and VC and investment work across a variety of sectors and the candidate would be expected to be able to hold the pen on the key transaction documents (share and asset purchase agreements, investment and shareholders agreements and articles of association), deal with day-to-day interactions with clients and opposing law firms and proactively push forward the deals on which they work.
Personal attributes and skills
The successful candidate will:
* Be 3 years to 6 years qualified working in private practice or in house.
* Be confident in preparing first drafts of the corporate documents and managing deal processes.
* Have had experience of both private M&A and VC and Investment work.
* Be self-motivated and keen to deepen both technical expertise and commercial acumen.
* Have an emerging interest in business development and be starting to build their own networks.
* Be collaborative in approach and be keen to engage with the wider firm in upholding its culture and values.
