Our amazing #TeamFairfield in Dundee are looking for a friendly, caring and dedicated new colleagues on a permanent (39 hours per week) basis.
Our team and the people we support
You'll become part of a friendly, fun team who support nine individuals, all with various support needs to live in their own flats within the same supported living complex. The support that we provide is centred around assisting individuals to identify and work towards their goals. We work with the individuals to develop personal plans that reflect their choices, individual support needs and capabilities.
You'll support individuals to manage their own homes increase and maintain their independence and encourage and support them with personal care and their social, health and wellbeing needs.
The people we support all have different hobbies and interests too, so we'll need you to bring creativity and enthusiasm into supporting them to access leisure activities, engage in meaningful activities and take part in hobbies and interests that are important to them, both within their home and out in their local communities.
Being a Support Practitioner is more than just a job, there's no better feeling going home after every shift knowing that you've made a positive difference in someone's life.
We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need. Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity
Confidence in the use of computers
It would be great is you also have a full clean driving license and at least one years' experience on the roads as some of the people we support have their own mobility cars, however this isn't a deal breaker for the right candidate.
Shift Patterns
As we're dedicated to providing the best support, tailored to the needs of each individual the shifts will involve early mornings, days, evenings and waking nights. Waking nights, weekends and public holidays would also form part of your rota on a rotational basis. Please note that we are unable to fit our rota for these contracted posts around a university or college timetable.
Waking night shifts are paid at your normal hourly rate, plus an additional payment of £20 per night.
