SEN Teaching Assistant – Penwortham, Preston (KS1 Support)
Due to additional funding, a welcoming mainstream Primary School in Penwortham, Preston is seeking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support across both Year 2 classes. The school was recently graded “Good” by Ofsted, with staff taking pride in their continued commitment to maintaining high standards and positive outcomes for pupils.
A number of children within KS1 require additional support, including 1:1 assistance and targeted support for a pupil with ADHD. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping these pupils access learning and thrive within the classroom environment.
Role Details
This is currently a full time term time, working Monday to Friday afternoons from 08:45am to 3:15pm. The role is initially offered on a temporary basis; however, there is potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate.
The hourly rate of pay is £14.25 per hour.
Candidate Requirements
To be successful in this role, applicants should have:
* Level 3 TA qualification or higher
* Flexibility to support a range of classroom and SEN needs
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Ability to build positive, professional relationships with pupils and staff
* A genuine passion for supporting children and making a difference
