Project Manager – Civil Engineering / Highways Frameworks North West & Yorkshire Permanent I’m working in partnership with a well-established civil engineering contractor operating across the UK as both a principal contractor and specialist subcontractor, delivering key infrastructure projects within highways and associated sectors. Due to continued growth and secured framework work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to support delivery across schemes in the North West and Yorkshire. The Opportunity This is a key role within the business, offering the chance to take full ownership of projects from pre-construction through to completion, working across a strong pipeline of framework-driven highways and infrastructure schemes. What’s on Offer Competitive basic salary Company car or car allowance Bonus scheme Private healthcare Strong benefits package Long-term career progression within a stable, growing business Key Responsibilities End-to-end management of civil engineering and highways projects Delivery against financial, programme, safety, quality, and environmental targets Pre-contract planning and coordination with estimating and commercial teams Preparation and oversight of RAMS, programmes, and contract documentation Resource planning and coordination of site teams and subcontractors Ensuring full SHEQ compliance across all project activities Commercial oversight, including variations, claims, and cost control Monthly reporting, forecasting, and contract performance reviews Stakeholder management across clients, local authorities, consultants, and supply chain Supporting tender submissions, PQQs, and framework bids About You Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering / highways Strong track record working on framework contracts Experience working for a main contractor or specialist subcontractor Good working knowledge of NEC contracts Strong commercial and contractual awareness Effective leader with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders Full UK driving licence Location Flexible, with projects across the North West and Yorkshire.
