We are seeking an ACUVUE Account Manager to support the Derbyshire region.

Purpose of the role
As an ACUVUE Account Manager, you will grow relationships with optometrists and optical retailers across the Derbyshire region, driving revenue growth and adoption of the ACUVUE® portfolio.
What to Expect
* Effective territory planning and preparation, using all available sales and share data to plan and execute journey plans that capitalize on business growth opportunities across all categories, channels and customer segments.
* Maintain comprehensive, accurate and up‑to‑date product and clinical knowledge of the ACUVUE® portfolio, undertaking and passing regular clinical and selling skills assessments.
* Persuade business decision makers and eye care practitioners of the clinical and commercial superiority of the ACUVUE® range of products, encouraging proactive promotion and prescribing.
* Take responsibility for overall account management of all customers on the territory, understanding customer needs, resolving complaints/queries, and building strong partnerships for long‑term business growth.
* Effectively manage and monitor the sales performance of all customers within the territory on a weekly, monthly, cyclic and annual basis to achieve territory business goals.
* Implement marketing and category initiatives throughout the customer base according to company priorities and customer needs, including the launch of new products and services.
* Identify and partner with key customers to undertake joint activities and initiatives that drive mutually beneficial growth, evaluating customer activity and operating within agreed budgets.
* Follow the company ethos of maximizing the customer experience in pursuit of creating promoters of J&J Vision Care and the ACUVUE® brand.
* Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the industry, marketplace, customers and competitors, feeding timely and relevant information to the wider organisation.
* Attend all regional, national and European sales meetings and internal meetings as required.
* Provide representation for J&J Vision Care at regional and national clinical and educational conferences and customer meetings, which may include evenings and weekends.
Essential Qualifications
* Experience in an external field sales role within a customer‑focused environment.
* Proven track record for achieving targets and delivering success.
* Ability to influence, persuade and gain commitment from others through strong interpersonal skills.
* Proficient presenter and communicator who knows when to persuade, motivate or inspire; comfortable in one‑on‑one and large group settings.
* Ability to build sustainable, long‑lasting business partnerships with customers.
* Capable of working independently with a high degree of self‑motivation and personal accountability.
* Competent user of a variety of computer software packages, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
* Understanding of CRM systems.
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience in the optical industry.
* Degree‑level education or equivalent background, ideally in business or science; relevant optical professional qualifications also considered.
