Job Description:
Old Dominion University invites applications for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor in Sport Management (tenure-track position) to start in Fall 2026. The Sport Management program offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees using both in-person and asynchronous online delivery formats. Job responsibilities include teaching two courses per semester in the Sport Management curriculum, developing and maintaining a nationally visible research program, pursuit of external funding, and service to the university, profession, and community. Further, the successful candidate should have a demonstrated commitment to inclusivity and participation in program decision-making. Minimum Qualifications:

1. A record of peer-reviewed publications in recognized journals and a record of grant procurement.
2. A well-defined area of research expertise in Sport Management.
3. University teaching experience, including developing and teaching asynchronous courses and effective integration of technology in the instructional process.
4. Program leadership/administration experiences for candidates applying for Associate Professor.
5. Experience as a practitioner in the sport industry.
