TheOpportunity:
Rovco are recruitinga Project Surveyor to join our growing Marine Site CharacterisationTeam ideally based in our Aberdeen Office. We will considercandidates located in Bristol Edinburgh or Remote for the rightcandidate.
As a Project Surveyor you will be an integralpart of the Survey Department and Projects Team. You will providetechnical expertise and support in the definition and supply ofsurvey related requirements to tenders project preparation andoperations related to Marine Site Characterisation. Communicatingwith clients and understanding their requirements is a key aspectof this role in supporting the project with internal and externalstakeholders.
MainResponsibilities
* AssistProject Manager to ensure projects are completed in a safe andefficient manner in line with contractual requirements anddelivered on projected marginlevels.
* Support the tendering processin identifying project requirements and the methods by which Rovcocan meet them.
* Creation of surveyprocedures in preparation forprojects.
* Advise on procurementinstallation and calibration of surveyequipment.
* Advise on equipment set upand testing survey systems and onlinenavigation.
* Providing survey andtechnical support for project activities on andoffshore.
* Guide the processing anddata deliverables to meet projectrequirements.
* Ensure data iscollected according to contractual and companyspecifications.
* QC and review dataand reports in conjunction with the processing & reportingteam.
* Maintaining accurate surveyrecords.
* Take part in riskassessments and hazardidentifications.
* Develop and maintainexcellent working relationships with clients colleagues andsuppliers.
* Liaise with Lead ProjectSurveyor establishing correct equipment requirements formobilisations anddemobilisations.
* Assist Lead ProjectSurveyor in maintaining uptodate departmentaldocumentation.
Youshould apply if youhave:
Essential:
* Asolid understanding of survey principles and marine surveytechniques
* Experience ofHydrographic/Geophysical survey mobilisation and dataacquisition
* Operational experience ofMBES SSS Mag SBP UXO hydrographic / geophysicalsurveys
* Knowledge of acousticpositioning techniques andequipment
* Knowledge of survey dataprocessing and reporting
* Interest ininnovative and disruptive surveytechnology
* Relevant offshoreexperience as Senior Surveyor / PartyChief
Desirable:
* Relevantexperience as a ProjectSurveyor
* Experience in MSC lineplanning and review
* IHO CatAaccredited B.Sc. / HND in Surveying orequivalent
* 2D & 3D UHRexperience
