Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Support Worker to work within our Urology Department. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and carry out routine care for patients in support of and supervised by the Urology Registered Nursing team. You should have excellent communication skills which include effective written skills and a good working knowledge of IT systems.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and carry out routine care for patients under the supervision of Urology Registered Nursing staff.
* Perform catheter care and other appropriate clinical investigations without supervision following relevant training if required.
* Provide support to other team members, including registered nurses and student nurses.
* Carry out assigned duties to meet patients’ needs and ensure they are cared for appropriately.
* Work on your own initiative and refer appropriately to the registered professional.

Working Hours and Pay
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate ensures that pay will not be affected.
Eligibility
The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. More information on this scheme can be found at www.disclosurescotland.co.uk.
Sponsorship may be available for qualified candidates where the post meets the minimum salary threshold and other required criteria. Sponsorship is assessed on a case‑by‑case basis following interview.
