Are you an experience Clinical Psychologist – looking to work as an expert witness, along side your everyday clinical role or something to bring in an extra income?
Are you HCPC registered with 12 months of post qualification experience as a Registered Clinical Psychologist. Are you experience in the field of Psychology with an interest in Medico legal? As an Expert Witness, you will evaluate a number of PI and court related claims.
Assessments are carried out via a standard proforma and a team of expert legal secretaries will write your report, that you must then validate. The role includes little admin as the report is purely evaluation.
* Location: You will carry out assessments at your nearest clinic in and around the Greater London region.
* Hours: Associate expert and zero hours – Pick the hours that work for you and sign up to receive regular work based on your expertise and knowledge.
* Salary: £85- £100 per hour – location and experience dependent
* Experience: You don’t need any experience in the legal medico field - We can accept those who have worked in both child and adult psychology, in any setting or capacity.
* Expenses: Fuel expenditure over a certain mileage. .
Whether you are Consultant or Principal Clinical Psychologist, if you are a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, looking to take on additional and ad-hoc work, this could be the ideal situation for you.
The cases are a mixture of Medco legal/personal injury cases and Crime related OR immigration cases. As well as assessing patients, presenting with ASD and ADHD both adult and child.
Terms of business and requirements of the role:
* Minimum 1 year of hands on HCPC registered clinical experience.
* Registered under: Clinical psychologist only.
* Strong understanding of psychological assessment tools.
* Experience in 121 therapies, CBT EMDR or similar cognitive treatments, children or adult or both.
* Right to work in the UK - All working visas considered.
* Proof of qualifications gained – Diploma, Bachelors or Masters.
* Indemnity insurance, up to 5 million and including Medico legal.
* ICO certified or willing to apply for this.
Whilst we also do not offer Sponsorship - Should you have extra hours with your current visa, we can accept applications who are looking for additional work as long as you are under sponsorship already and have a full 12 months post HCPC registration.
