Overview
We are seeking an advisory solution consultant to lead the solution architecture for major account opportunities. The role works closely with regional Sales Account Managers and regional solution consultants to drive large enterprise Inmation deals toward close. This is a customer-facing position that will articulate the Inmation Industrial Data Fabric, architect solutions, describe how Inmation integrates with existing OT and IT systems, and technically sell the Inmation vision and solution.
This is a high-visibility role for an exceptional consultant, engaging with C-suite executives as well as OT and IT subject matter experts on data fabrics, technologies and solutions.
Responsibilities
* Lead the solution architecture for major account opportunities and drive large enterprise Inmation deals toward close.
* Articulate the Inmation Industrial Data Fabric to key customers and describe how it fits into existing OT and IT systems.
* Architect solutions and provide technical sales support, including highly effective demos and presentations.
* Differentiate Inmation solutions from competing offerings and tailor demonstrations to customer requirements.
* Collaborate with the AspenTech extended team (Sales, Support, CSM, R&D, Partners) to ensure successful opportunity close, project delivery and completion.
* Contribute to new product launches within the related area of expertise.
* Travel up to six internal trips per quarter as needed.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
* 10+ years of experience with OT and IT data, control systems, data historians, data analysis, and system integration, including knowledge of DCS, historians, LIMS, MES, and ERP systems.
* 10+ years in a pre-sales role or 5+ years in professional services with 5+ years in pre-sales.
* Strong listening, sales, presentation and demo delivery skills; experience selling to C-suite executives.
* Background with Purdue model, firewalls, and OT integration practices. Hands-on experience with data exchange technologies (OPC/OPC UA) and protocols (Kafka, MQTT) is highly desirable.
* Understanding of IT data integration, data lakes/warehouses, networking, cybersecurity and data analytics.
* Hands-on coding skills and willingness to code for demos as well as present to customers.
* Experience with SQL, databases and scripting languages (e.g., Lua).
* Experience with AI, BI and analytics technologies (Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, Databricks) is highly desirable.
* Fast learner with motivation to learn cutting-edge technologies; team player with strong customer relationship skills.
* Experience authoring bids, writing proposals and quoting projects.
* Excellent spoken and written English.
* Process industry experience (e.g., Refining, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals) a plus.
* Experience with AspenTech IP21, Aveva PI or Inmation a definite plus; familiarity with other AspenTech technologies (e.g., APC, SCM, GDOT) a plus but not required.
* Other language skills are an asset but not required.
* Ability to obtain a corporate AMEX and travel globally.
