About Our Client

Our client, a well-established organisation based in North Kent are seeking a Management Accountant to join them on a full time and permanent basis. The successful Management Accountant will be formally qualified, with demonstrable experience in management accounting and statutory accounting within a compliance focused environment.This role offers a hybrid working pattern.

Job Description

Management Accountant duties include;

3. Prepare monthly management accounts and perform a review with the Financial Controller
4. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations in line with company procedures
5. Review the payments and bank instructions for approval
6. Review and approve annual Benefits returns, dispensation claims and pension contributions
7. Prepare the corporation tax payments calculation and manage payments
8. Review and approve the VAT, PAYE, NI, CT61 and R185 returns ahead of processing
9. Prepare the treasury investment proposal for approval
10. Undertake the review and approval of the monthly bank reconciliations
11. Review and approve the payroll and pension contribution batch
12. Manage the statutory audit process, liaising with auditors and compiling the statutory audit working papers for submission
13. Prepare the draft annual statutory accounts for review and approval
14. Process and update the annual operating budget and forecasts in the accounting system

The Successful Applicant

The successful Management Accountant should have:

15. A formal qualification is required (ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified)
16. Management accounting and statutory accounting experience
17. Experience working within a compliance focused environment
18. Clearly communicate technically complex financial issues
19. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
20. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
21. Strong communication and presentation skills
22. A highly organised approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
