About The Role
Are you the first-person people go to with their computer issues and IT queries?
We have a fantastic opportunity at our Skelmersdale site for an enthusiastic IT Support individual to deal with 1st & 2nd line support queries, hardware & software upgrades and installations, setup of new users with accounts and equipment, assisting in projects, and maintaining asset information and records.
We are looking for someone with experience in customer service and an interest in IT, or who has previously worked in an IT-based role. We will provide extensive training, so a keen interest in personal and professional development is essential.
Job duties and responsibilities:
* Support (1st & 2nd Line) including helpdesk ticket management
* Day-to-day support for Windows OS, iOS, and Android
* Software installation, support, and troubleshooting
* Technology installation and support
* Handheld scanners
* Touchscreens / tablets
* Desktops/Laptops/Peripherals
* Mobile phones/Landlines
* Printers
* Meeting room equipment
* User account setup and maintenance
About You
Knowledge / experience of:
* Windows desktop OS
* Apple iOS and Android OS
* MS Office applications
* Excellent people management and interpersonal skills
* Proactive approach
* Good planning and organizational skills
Full driving license is essential.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (1-hour lunch). Participation in the Out of Hours IT Support rota is required once trained.
