Role Summary
The Senior Project Manager will own high‑priority, change management, IT and/or Operations projects and act as an entrepreneur to deliver project benefits in line with the business case. As a senior project manager, you will lead multi‑disciplinary teams across boundaries to ensure a successful handover of projects to operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Build a cross‑functional team and engage all stakeholders
* Develop business case proposals and justification, including financial analysis comparing the current to the future state
* Present the proposal to Nidec and Control Techniques Senior Leaders and gain approval
* Prepare and manage any required budget requests through the approval process
* Track and report progress against agreed objectives, including project timeline and budget
* Develop and maintain scope, resource plans, project documentation and quality of deliverables
* Identify and onboard necessary external partners and suppliers
* Lead each initiative throughout the project, utilising standard Project Management processes
* Account for all aspects of the project over the entire life cycle
* Interface with all areas affected by the project, including end users, distributors and vendors
* Ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables
* Deliver a smooth handover to relevant operational teams
* Manage communications with all stakeholders, including status reports to the Senior Leadership Team
Travel Requirements
* Frequent on‑site attendance at the head office/factory sites in Newtown
* Occasional travel to other sites may be required to support project needs
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in a relevant discipline (Electrical, IT, Mechanical Engineering preferred)
* Proven project management experience in a relevant field (IT, Manufacturing, Supply Chain)
Desirable
* Relevant postgraduate qualification, e.g., MBA
* Recognised PM qualification (PMP®, PRINCE2® Practitioner, APM PMQ or equivalent)
* Track record in large and strategic Change Management Projects, e.g., ERP and e‑commerce implementations, factories set‑ups
* Experience of working with a PMO
* Having led Strategic Programs for large organisations
* Experience in operating and influencing at a strategic level
* Working within a multi‑cultural and global environment
