Registered Manager Birmingham House (16 - 18 Supported Living)

Location: Halesowen, Birmingham

Are you an experienced leader passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people?

My client provides high-quality supported living for young people aged 16-18 and 18+, offering 24/7 trauma-informed support in a safe and empowering environment. They are seeking a Registered Manager to lead their service, drive quality, and ensure the best possible outcomes for the young people they support.

Main Duties

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for managing, ensuring compliance with, and ensuring the quality assurance of the properties, which consist of 3 units for 16-18-year-olds and 5 self-contained flats for 18+ care leavers. You will lead a dedicated staff team, ensure the service meets regulatory standards, and foster a culture of empowerment and independence for young people.

This is a pivotal role where you will:

* Provide inspirational leadership to a skilled team.
* Ensure compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding standards.
* Oversee personalised support plans that build life skills, resilience, and independence.
* Develop strong partnerships with commissioners, local authorities, and external agencies.
* Deliver outcome-focused support through placement reviews and transparent reporting.
* Maintain service quality, safety, and continuous improvement across all units.

Required skills

We are looking for a passionate, resilient, and experienced leader who can inspire others and drive excellence.

- Leadership experience in supported living, residential, or semi-independent settings for young people.

- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and regulatory compliance.

- Ability to manage, train, and develop staff teams.

- Commitment to trauma-informed care and co-production with young people.

- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or willingness to complete within 18 months).

- Experience supporting young people leaving care, including tenancy preparation and transition planning.

- Strong partnership-building skills with commissioners and external services.

Why Join Us?

- Opportunity to lead a flagship service making a real difference in Birmingham.

- Supportive, forward-thinking organisation with a commitment to staff development.

- Competitive salary and benefits package.

- The chance to shape outcomes for young people and reduce out-of-borough placements.

If you are ready to lead our team and help young people thrive, we would love to hear from you.
