Overview

Join to apply for the Children’s Residential Support Worker role at Witherslack Group.

Salary: £34,274 - £40,640 (assuming good attendance and up to 4 sleep ins per month).

Working in our Children’s Homes means supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them achieve positive outcomes and a sense of normality. You’ll be part of their day-to-day life, with opportunities to celebrate small wins and make a lasting impact.

Responsibilities

* Take care of our young people day to day, ensuring routines run smoothly and creating lasting memories (e.g., helping with school, homework, paperwork, and planning activities).
* Support evenings and weekends with engaging activities and positive interactions.
* Adapt support to each young person’s needs, personality and potential, guiding them toward a positive future.

* Salary: Base salary of £29,034 - £35,400
* Sleep-ins: Up to 4 sleep ins per month paid at £80 each (+ Attendance Allowance, subject to good attendance)

Requirements

* A ‘can do’ attitude and team player mindset
* Honesty and empathy toward young people and colleagues
* Resilience to handle challenging situations
* A full UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months)
* If you don’t have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), we’ll support you to study

You’ll start life as a Residential Support Worker by joining our Care Academy – 4 weeks of off-the-job training with experienced WG professionals.
