We are currently looking for enthusiastic and motivated graduates to join secondary schools in Oldbury as Graduate Teaching Assistant. This is a great opportunity for individuals considering a future in teaching or education who want to gain hands-on experience supporting young people in the classroom.
Working closely with teaching staff, you’ll help to support students’ learning, manage classroom behaviour and contribute to a positive learning environment. You may also assist with small group interventions, 1:1 support and general classroom duties.
Role Responsibilites:
* Support students in lessons across a range of subjects
* Provide targeted assistance to pupils who may need extra support
* Assist with planning and delivering learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher
* Help maintain a focused and supportive classroom environment
* Provide occasional cover for short-term staff absences if required
Role Requirements:
* A recent graduate in any subject (English, Maths, Science or Humanities)
* A genuine interest in education and working with young people
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A calm and professional approach with the ability to build rapport quickly
* Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
