We have an opportunity for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer or Senior Geotechnical Engineer based in our offices in Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Newcastle, Edinburgh, or Glasgow to support our portfolio of geotechnical projects in the UK and internationally.
We need to expand our team to meet growing demand from clients in infrastructure (rail, highways, water) and energy sectors (carbon capture & storage, renewable energy, offshore/onshore oil & gas, nuclear).

Requirements:
* The successful candidate will have proven technical and project management experience as a geotechnical or senior geotechnical engineer. Mentoring juniors and good communication skills are essential. Experience in Design and Build environments is preferred.
* Degree in civil engineering or geology with postgraduate qualification in geotechnics, and chartered status as a civil engineer or geologist.
* Ability to help develop our infrastructure and energy geotechnics capabilities within a growing, flexible team.
Candidates should have:
* A strong academic background, ideally MSc or equivalent.
* Chartered status.
* Experience in a fast-paced engineering consultancy.
* Project management skills, client relationship experience, work planning, and commercial awareness.
* Proven geotechnical design skills and analytical capabilities.
* Experience with software like GeoStudio, Repute, Wallap.
* Knowledge of CDM Regulations in design and ground investigation.
* Excellent interpersonal, technical, and leadership skills.
* Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with clients.
* Successful track record in negotiating and managing projects.
* Excellent report writing and self-checking abilities.
* Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas.
* Valid UK driving license.
