Overview
You will be responsible for the mechanical assembly and fitting of components to a high standard, contributing to the production of specialised food processing machinery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assemble and fit mechanical components for stainless steel machinery.
2. Work effectively as part of a team in our production facility or, when required, at customer sites.
3. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, quality standards, and production schedules.
Essential Experience & Skills
4. Proven experience with mechanical motor fitting, stripping, and rebuilding.
5. Skilled in assembling pneumatic systems.
6. Experience fitting bearing housings.
7. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
8. Proficient in using a wide range of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
9. Experience in building bespoke/special purpose machinery.
10. Familiarity with hydraulic systems.
11. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
12. Ability to follow risk assessments and method statements.
13. Comply with all company rules and directives as communicated by management.
Additional Requirements
14. You must supply your own basic hand tools. Specialist tools will be provided.
15. City & Guilds qualifications in Engineering or a solid mechanical engineering background are highly desirable.
