Senior Sustainability Engineer London CTJ64 £45,000 - £55,000 A leading, sustainability-driven building services consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Sustainability Engineer to join its London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong background in building performance modelling and low-carbon design, particularly with hands-on experience using IES-VE and Apache HVAC. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of dynamic simulation models using IES-VE, including detailed HVAC system modelling with Apache HVAC Deliver performance analysis for energy, thermal comfort, daylighting, and overheating (TM52/TM59) Prepare technical reports and sustainability documentation to support planning and compliance (e.g., Part L, London Plan, BREEAM inputs) Liaise with clients, design teams, and project stakeholders to deliver integrated, low-energy solutions Contribute to design reviews, project coordination, and internal knowledge sharing Mentor junior modellers and contribute to the growth of the building physics capability within the teamCandidate Profile Minimum 3 years' experience in building physics, sustainability consultancy, or building services engineering Degree in Building Services, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related field Proficient in IES-VE with solid experience using Apache HVAC for DSM and system modelling Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, energy strategies, and compliance assessments Confident communicator with strong reporting and client-facing skills Right to work in the UK and based in or near London (or open to relocation)What's on Offer Competitive salary between £40,000 - £55,000, depending on experience Hybrid working and flexible hours Clear pathway to Associate-level roles and chartership (e.g., CIBSE, LETI, LCC) Involvement in high-profile, sustainability-led projects across sectors Friendly and forward-thinking team with a focus on environmental innovationTo apply or learn more, please contact Callum Jones at Penguin Recruitment via (url removed)
