Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Pocklington
Salary: £44,000 to £45,000 Overtime Pension Benefits
Week 1: Mon to Fri 6am-2:30pm & Sat 6am-10am.
Week 2: Mon to Fri 2pm-10:30pm.
Week 3: Mon to Fri 4:30pm. on call until engineer arrives to cover the Saturday.
1 in 3 weekends calls out.

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximizing machine efficiencies. This will be a reactive and a proactive maintenance role, working to and carrying out the monthly PPM work. The ideal candidate will come from a mechanical engineering background, and you should be able to work on your own initiative, be a time served engineer. and have fast moving manufacturing experience. A good working knowledge of PPM systems will be advantageous, on a day to day basis you will work with conveyors, palletisers, sealing machines, packaging machinery and automated equipment. There is a huge amount of training on offer so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
