Welder Fabricator in MIG welding techniques
POSITION IS BASED IN TIVERTON, DEVON
Due to our expanding business, we are currently seeking an individual to join our team. EXPERIENCE IN NOT ESSENTIAL, however, some experience would be beneficial. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in welding and working with mild steel. They will be willing and capable of understanding and using different types of machinery. They will have good communication skills to work alongside a small team to complete projects, but after training, also be competent and confident enough to work alone when required. They will have great attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, can problem solve, and find solutions to meet our high customer standards.
We work within many different sectors from factories to homeowners, so our work is diverse. The ideal candidate will learn to be capable and adaptable to making a range of different metal structures and components.
Key duties and Responsibilities
* MIG welding on mild steel
* The Fabrication and assembly of different types of metal structures
* Conduct checks on quality of work to ensure precision to the specifications and standards required
* Maintaining a well‑organised and clean working environment to maintain health and safety regulations within the workspace
* Good communication skills to liaise and work alongside a team, to ensure deadlines and customers’ expectations are met
* Good timekeeper and reliable communication
* Must be willing to do overtime and work some weekends, when required
* Onsite and offsite work
* Valid UK Driving licence would be beneficial but not essential
* Ages: 16+

* 40 hours per week, Mon to Fri, plus overtime available most weekends
